In conjunction with the City of Menlo Park Black Liberation Month Celebration in February, the Youth Poster Exhibition encourages youth creativity and expression. Our Beechwood students submitted their original poster art for display in the Black History Month Youth Poster Exhibition. The exhibition theme was “Black Culture in the Arts,” inspired by African, Caribbean and Black American lived experiences. One of our students, Andrea in 7th grade, was selected as an outstanding artist in the Youth Poetry Contest for Black Liberation Month.
